These little guys have been all over the stamping forums I look through. I'm not sure who came up with the original idea, but it wasn't me and I certainly can't take credit for them. They are cute, though, and we'll be making them in my class tonight!
To make some of your own, grab a bag of York Peppermint Patties, punch two black scallops, four large black photo corners, four small colored photo corners, 3/4" white eyes and a red circle for a nose. I used mono adhesive to put everything together, but I think glue dots would be easier to use with the googlie eyes and the nose. At least I'll try them next time.
I found some little votive cups at Ikea, filled one with Skittles, used the All Seasons Rub-Ons and rubbed Happy Halloween on the cup, and then topped it with a purple spider. I wrapped it up in a cello bag tied it with grosgrain. I didn't get the entire picture because then you couldn't see the details of the spiders, but I think I got enough of it for you to get the idea.
Now here's a question for you. I'm not a fan of York Peppermint Patties. Can anybody think of another candy -- or something -- that we could use besides the patties? Leave me a comment. I'd love to hear what you can come up with!
