I've been told that I'm going to have to order a new set of Merry & Bright soon since I've used this one to death -- but this little snowman is so perfect for so many things. I saw this idea somewhere and modified it a bit for this card.
I've been teaching my Thursday night group how to use the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, and this card would really give them a workout. Of course, after a couple stamps, I just eyeballed it and decided what would be, would be. I only had room for three rows of snowmen instead of four...but you'd never know I was trying for four if I hadn't told you. See? Sometimes there really isn't any right or wrong.
Can you believe I've been so busy, pulled in so many different directions lately, that my heart hasn't been on stamping? For one, my son's dishwasher died, and since they're hosting Thanksgiving, we decided to give them their Christmas present a bit early. Sears delivered their new dishwasher last Saturday. That's a good thing, right? My husband no sooner had theirs almost installed, when my dishwasher decided to have a hissy fit, and it's now on the disabled list, too. Okay. That's not the end of the world. Not even close. But it has made for an interesting week of shopping. You see, the dishwasher is 18 years old, as is my range. And my fridge is 20 years old. And none of them have ever seen a repairman...which means that they're all working on borrowed time. And then there's the matter of my original cabinets in my 32 year old house...and all of a sudden, this $9.95 timer for my dishwasher just might turn out to be an entire kitchen redo if I don't practice some serious self-restraint...which I'm not known for.
I need to go up in my stamping room, close the door, and forget that I have a sink full of dirty dishes. Perhaps the dish fairy will come by morning, do the dirty dishes and put me out of my misery. Or maybe I need to go kitchen shopping! Or maybe I should ... you get the idea. This post will be continued tomorrow.
